I Wanted These Pictures For ME.

I'm a 26 year old, single, self sufficient, who "needs no man", woman!

I can be a very loud person (both in confidence & actual volume) or I can be a timid on-looker.

A good friend of mine did a session and told me how much fun she had and I was on the fence about it, but hearing about her experience was the push that I needed.

I don't have a man in my life, and honestly I feel like that was what made me want to do it even more. I wanted these pictures for ME.

Leading up to my session, I was a tad bit nervous!

I was really only actually nervous because I didn't know Molly! I figure if this is her job, being around her in lingerie won't be the difficult part, it will be the posing and making myself look/feel natural around a stranger.

I felt so completely free. I never thought in a million years I would be that comfortable in basically nothing with a camera around. It was almost like a breakthrough. I'm pretty confident about myself, but also notice my "flaws". This session showed me that my "flaws" are beautiful too!

I was trying to remember everything Molly told me I need to do (breathing/eyes/chest/etc) and then I looked at her camera and saw her smiling behind the camera and I just broke out laughing.

Which I'm pretty sure that resulted in my absolute favorite picture of myself.

That also encapsulated the experience. F.U.N.

Complete and utter joy. I was literally laying on a bed covered only in a sheet and I couldn't have been happier.

I felt an overwhelming urge to tell the world how amazing it felt to do this! At first I only told a few people (I have a very straight-laced family) and after I was telling anyone that I talked to about my amazing experience and how it made me feel like a whole new woman!

I am all about lifting other people up now. I just spent a week on a lake in swimming suits with my friends and we weren't allowed to say anything negative about yourself! There's enough negative-ness going around about women, why body-shame yourself.

DO IT. You shouldn't live with any regrets and I promise you, you'll regret not doing a session.

This was an experience of a lifetime and to say this will be the only time I'll be doing a session with Molly would be a lie!

I hope in the future to do more sessions that will document milestones in my life. (Even if the milestone is turning THIRTY!) I can't say thank you enough!
